Arrival in Lima

DAY 1

DAY 2

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour through the historic center of Lima. Start at the Plaza Mayor, surrounded by landmark buildings such as the Government Palace and the majestic Lima Cathedral. Visit the San Francisco Monastery, known for its catacombs and impressive ancient library. In the afternoon, head to the Larco Museum to admire a vast collection of pre-Columbian artifacts. The day concludes with dinner at the museum’s elegant restaurant, surrounded by illuminated gardens and antiquities.

 

DAY 3

Early in the morning, you will take a flight to Arequipa, the "White City". Upon arrival, a city tour will take you through the stunning Plaza de Armas and the Santa Catalina Convent, a true city within a city with its vibrant colored alleyways and plazas. The afternoon is free to enjoy Arequipan cuisine or explore at your own pace.

DAY 4

The journey continues towards the Colca Valley, one of the deepest canyons in the world. En route, stop at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you can see vicuñas in their natural habitat. Arrival in Chivay marks the start of your exploration of the valley, with time to relax in the local hot springs.

DAY 5

Opt for a second visit to Machu Picchu at sunrise (optional) or enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transport will be waiting to take you to Cusco.

Upon arriving in Cusco, check into an exclusive hotel and have the evening free to explore the city at your leisure. Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants or simply relax at your hotel.

 

 

DAY 6

After breakfast, depart for Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Arrive in Puno in the afternoon, giving you time to acclimate to the high altitude and rest at your hotel.

DAY 7

From Puno, embark on a boat excursion on Lake Titicaca. Visit the floating islands of the Uros, where you will learn about the life of the islanders who build and live on these reed islands. Then, continue to the island of Amantaní, where you will spend the night in a local accommodation for an authentic cultural experience.

DAY 8

In the morning, sail to the island of Taquile, known for its intricate local weavings. After exploring the island and enjoying a traditional lunch, you will return to Puno in the afternoon.

DAY 9

Instead of a bus journey, today you will have the unique experience of traveling to Cusco aboard the luxurious Andean Explorer train. This train journey offers a relaxing and elegant way to cross the Peruvian highlands, combining comfort with panoramic views of the vast and beautiful Andean geography. During the journey, enjoy gourmet meals prepared on board, as well as first-class entertainment and service. Arrive in Cusco in the afternoon, allowing you time to settle into your hotel and relax after a pleasant and scenic day of travel.

DAY 10

Explore Cusco in depth, including sites like Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun) and the imposing Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas. A visit to the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuamán offers spectacular views of the city.

DAY 11

A full day in the Sacred Valley will take you to visit the traditional market of Pisac and the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo. Spend the night at a hotel in the valley, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the area.

DAY 12

Take a train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the base for visiting Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, ascend to the citadel for a guided tour, uncovering the secrets of this mystical place. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 13

Option to revisit Machu Picchu at dawn. Later, take the train back to Cusco, where you will spend the night.

 

DAY 14

Free time for last-minute shopping or to enjoy a farewell dinner at one of Lima’s excellent restaurants.

Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will escort you to your hotel in the Miraflores district. After settling in, you can rest or, if you prefer, start exploring the charms of Lima, from its elegant cafés to its stunning ocean-view boardwalks.
